In PAO, there is some ability to power-down a card, which is a good thing. The amount of code required to add that functionality is not too difficult, but I think Warner's got enough on his plate for now. However, I'll bet if someone took out the 'relevant bits' out of the PAO release and submitted them, they might find their way into stock FreeBSD. ;) (Note the words 'relevant bits'.)
