Dear FreeBSD staff, I am Italian, I have attended ... the (preparatory)"Penguin" school, I installed FreeBSD 3.3 a few weeks ago, and I have been reading a lot of (English)documentation: "Penguin" stuff, FreeBSD 3.2 (and 3.3) handbook, G. Lehey's "The Complete FreeBSD", FreeBSD Howtos, man pages, info pages, FAQs,application-specific documentation, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So far, I have had a lot of fun with the fruits of *your* work, and I would like to give my (little) contribution to the FreeBSD project by translating some material into Italian, to begin with. Incidentally, should my hacking ability significantly increase ... I might consider other tasks, too :-)) Could you please let me know who the responsible for the project is ? And could you please let me know about its status, about the list of the translation tasks to be (yet)accomplished, etc. ? By the way, I can currently read English, French (and just a little German)technical papers -- if that will (somehow) help. To the best of my ability,I will make every effort to tranlate what I am reading and working on into *Italian*, rather than "italianize" it; which often happens in my country ;-) Further, these translations might be placed under the Berkeley license.
