I've built a FreeBSD machine which I am using as a gateway and firewall. I have no problem pinging the gateway machine and accessing the Web from a Windows 2000 laptop which I have sitting behind the firewall, but I am unable to do either from a second FreeBSD box, which also sits behind the firewall and on which I would like to run Samba and Apache. I am, however, able to connect to the Web when I plug directly into my DSL router, which is how I installed FreeBSD, so I know the NIC is working. I know that I'm probably missing something glaringly obvious, but I can't seem to figure out what. I've also tried with Linux with the same results. Be happy to post netstat and/or route output if someone can steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for the help, John Johnson __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get Yahoo!
