: Where was this change discussed? I'm on -arch, -current, and -hackers, : and don't recall seeing anything like this come by. I recall a meeting at FreeBSDCon 1999 where David O'Brien, myself, Greg Lehey, Mike Smith and a couple other people talked about this as the long term design goal. It hs taken a while to get all the pieces implemented. The fact that 'which config' still doesn't say 'config: Command not found' is likely what will be attacked next.
