Can you be more speific about "vanished"?  Do you mean "not responding", 
or "no there anymore"?

I'm going to try a -current install on one tomorrow to see what happens; 
unfortunately I only have the old reference adapter, not a "real" 
embedded aac so I don't know what might happen.
