So, I'm trying out the newly-committed raylink driver on a pair of Aviator 2.4 (plain, not Pro) cards. The cards are both firmware rev 4. Has anyone gotten these working in a FreeBSD-to-FreeBSD configuration? I have two systems, running a recent (post-commit) -current. The cards are properly recognized by pccardd and the raycontrol program sees the settings and makes reasonable modifications. It actually looks like the two cards just plain aren't seeing each other. The 'BSS Id' values are never the same on the two systems, even those I've set the SSID to the same thing repeatedly. As nearly as I can tell from reading a little about 802.11, the BSS Id is supposed to be the same. Also, both cards always have a 0x01 for 'Current INITED'. Oh, and I've also tried varying the location - one of the systems is sitting on a monitor arm (it's my old laptop) about 6 feet above floor level. The other has been sitting almost directly underneath it, but I've varied the location from nearby to 20 ft away with no luck. The only other major data point I can think of is that I've never tried using these on a Win9x system, so if the Win drivers make some persistent config change I've missed out on that.
