When compiling a kernel, I am seeing synchronous writes on a filesystem that's got soft-updates set. Two a second, six a second, zero a second -- never a whole lot, but enough to make me wonder. How come? What are the conditions when a soft-updates filesystem writes synchronously? -- Ben 220 go.ahead.make.my.day ESMTP Postfix To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
