Below has been done also in 4.2-RELEASE with GENERIC kernel, 1. Insert a write protected medium, 2. mount /dev/da0s1c /mnt, cel# mount /dev/da0s1c /mnt 3. umount /mnt cel# umount /mnt umount: unmount of /mnt failed: Input/output error cel# umount /mnt umount: unmount of /mnt failed: Input/output error Umount does not success and `Write protected' messages continue to appear 4. reboot (umount fails) In /var/log/mesages, Feb 9 21:10:28 cel /kernel: (da0:ahc0:0:3:0): WRITE(06).
