It hangs with: "starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/db/mysql" Everything was working fine and I wanted to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.3 so that I could make use of some new packages. It's a remote server that I don't have physical access to. I followed UPDATE, doing a buildworld, compiling the kernel, then installing it. Everything went fine. After rebooting, it hanged. The technician sent me the error message. Thinking about it, mysql could've started fine and whatever is next hanged. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
