Subject:   ibcs2 won't load after upgrade to 4.4R

I get this error following an upgrade from 4.3S;
su-2.03# modload ibcs2.ko
modload: /dev/lkm: No such file or directory

I tried remaking all with MAKEDEV and it will not make an /dev/lkm
Any idea what I'm missing?
