--G4iJoqBmSsgzjUCe Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable ftp.FreeBSD.org and ftp.dk.FreeBSD.org are now complete mirror. I'm off to bed now (04:36 am here) ftp.FreeBSD.org is having a hard time, but it's pushing lots of data. I've added the below note to it's motd: #################################################################### Please check the below URL to see if you have a closer mirror, especially during releases of new versions of FreeBSD, the load on this server can be quite high, and it's likely that you will get better transfer rates from your local mirror. <http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/mirrors-ftp.html> Specifically should all mirrors not mirroring directly from the master repository choose a different host than this to mirror from, for the reasons mentioned above, I should also add that all tier 1 mirrors have exactly the same access to the master repository as ftp.FreeBSD.org=20 #################################################################### It's probably not the best english ever written, but at least it points people to the list of mirrors, which hopefully will help to spread the load a bit. /Jesper On Wed, Jan 30, 2002 at 03:58:28AM +0100, Jesper Skriver wrote: > both ftp.FreeBSD.org and ftp.dk.FreeBSD.org are in the progress of > fetching the mini ISO now, when they have it, both will have a complete > 4.5-RELEASE mirror. >=20 > But ftp.FreeBSD.org could take a while, it running with a load index > around 150 at the moment, pushing about 30 Mbyte/s (that is 240 Mbps). >=20 > /Jesper >=20 > On Tue, Jan 29, 2002 at 06:51:15PM -0800, Murray Stokely wrote: > > Cool.
