It seems that we stumbled upon a DSSSL/DocBook bug: a <row><entry> does not like whitespace, even if the whitespace lies between a </para> and the next <para>. Maybe an entry was never meant to contain more than one paragraph? I know that the workaround - join the <para> tag with the previous </para> - is ugly; still, it unbreaks the handbook build for the present..
