FWIW, I've taken patches form Mark, mulled over them and them commited them (some with minor changes). I've also been sitting on the more controversial ones in an effort to decide how to best fix some of the problems. So we have already been following this in a way. I've even actually found a few real bugs while checking with the gcc3 warns stuff. A couple of things in usr.bin modify things more than once between sequence points! David.
