Wonderful news! > What is the process to be followed for this ? The best place to start is usually to think if there's anything in the existing documentation that's broken, inaccurate, misleading, etc. and try and make it better. An even better place to start would be to think of something that you know *should* be in the documentation, and then document it. The documentation is currently written in Docbook format (check out the textproc/docbook-tdg or www.docbook.org for a free copy of the O'Reilly book Docbook - The Definitive Guide), but it's not a requirement - if you want to submit stuff in plain text that's ok too; we can mark it up into Docbook for you if necessary. Then either post them here, or use send-pr, to get them into the wild. One of us doc committers will notice it (and if we don't, you can always mail us again to remind us) and pick it up from there. Michael Lucas wrote a good article on contributing for OnLamp; it's at http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2002/01/17/Big_Scary_Daemons.html and http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2002/01/31/Big_Scary_Daemons.html Also, there's the FreeBSD Documentation Project Primer at: http://www.freebsd.org/docproj/index.html Any questions, just ask!
