Jordi, When I did acpiconf -d to disable acpi, the system froze. I booted back to win-me and disabled sleep/hibernation/shutdown from there. The laptop has been running fine ever since. Do you know if this is bios firmware problem or a general sony vaio acpi problem? Is there a workaround, other than disabling acpi all together? Thank you, David On Thu, Jan 23, 2003 at 10:50:51AM -0500, Jordi wrote: > David Kleiner wrote: > > >Hi, > > > >I've been running 5.0-RELEASE on my sony vaio r505te for a few days now > > > >Here is my problem: > > > >System stays up and running but keyboard freezes (no input is accepted), > >cannot > >switch vty's from X.
