I can't seem to get this Netgear MA301 wireless adapter (bridge) recognized. I see the same problem in both -current and stable. I tried putting hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range='1' in /boot/loader.conf. I've also made sure that PNP is off in BIOS (it's an Intel motherboard). For FreeBSD 5.0 current, I'm using pretty much a generic kernel config (cvsupped today) so wi is alread enabled. Do I need to configure this card with windows first? --------------------------- eclipse# dmesg | grep wi0 wi0: <Netgear MA301> port 0x1080-0x10bf,0x1800-0x187f mem 0xf4209000-0xf4209fff irq 9 at device 16.0 on pci0 wi0: failed in wi_seek to fce0/0 wi0: mac read failed 5 device_probe_and_attach: wi0 attach returned 5 -------------------------------- eclipse# pciconf -lv <snip> none1@pci0:16:0: class=0x028000 card=0x41001385 chip=0x41001385 rev=0x02 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Netgear' device = 'MA301 802.11b Wireless Adapter' class = network ----------------------------------- Thanks, --Sam To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
