The system booted find except during the install I kept getting errors about not being able to download / extract all sorts of thing. These I answered with (N)o retry and eventually got the system installed. I am not sure if the stuff is actually missing or not ! Could some kind sole please explain how this efi partition and FreeBSD are meant to fit together. I eventually installed on the first disk with what I hoped would be an efi partition p1 and freeBSD in p2. I was unable to find a device file for p1 hence could not mount it to install the loader/kernel. My solution was to edit /etc/fstab, moving everything to disk2 and swap disk1 and disk2. I then installed an empty efi using the linux enablement kit from HP; mounted it and copied /boot to where it was needed. Alan PS how is the SMP-VHPT stuff getting on or should I disable the 2nd Processor? -- Alan S.
