Neither of those mailing lists has anything to do with what you're asking.
This is the right place to ask about problems with the -STABLE branch 
code.

1) Make sure the "PnP OS" setting in your BIOS is OFF.
2) Disable ACPI.
3) Try 5.1-RC1?
