Hi, I have fixed-rate dialup access from my ISP but only off-peak. I just found out that they let me connect at other times but charge me extra so I want to avoid doing this accidentally. I'd like to run "ppp -auto" so that I get dial on demand in the evening, but stop it connecting in the daytime. I thought of using a cron job to start and stop ppp but is there a more elegant way? Thanks, Ben.
