Hi,
it looks like my floppy disapeared since 5.X. (I'm shure I used it once to
upgrade the SRM. But I'm not _that_ shure that I was able to use it even
in FreeBSD 4 - and I don't store old dmesgs that often.. maybe on some old
backups ;)

So the physical connection seems to work. But:
olivleh1@dill olivleh1> grep '^fd' /var/run/dmesg.boot

olivleh1@dill olivleh1> grep '\.fd' /usr/src/sys/alpha/conf/DILL.hints

hint.fdc.0.port="0x3F0"
hint.fdc.0.irq="6"
hint.fdc.0.drq="2"
hint.fd.0.at="fdc0"
hint.fd.0.drive="0"
olivleh1@dill olivleh1> grep '\.hints' /usr/src/sys/alpha/conf/DILL
#To statically compile in device wiring instead of /boot/device.hints
hints "DILL.hints"
olivleh1@dill olivleh1>
Where is fd0? ;)
