Like I said, the quality is somewhat ugly.  Dunno about the
Quickcam, as I've only used the OV511-model (forgot the brand).
AFAIK NetBSD has drivers for the QuickCam, but FreeBSD hasn't.

"make search key=quickcam" yields

/usr/ports/graphics/cqcam and
/usr/ports/graphics/qcread

Did you tried these already?
