If not defined, no symbols are # exported. This is used to avoid possible name conflicts between different modules. All symbols that aren't exported (none are exported by default) will be made local by objcopy(1). In the past, two different modules could define a common global name, and resolution of a name could give unpredictable results, often resulting in a panic. Note: if module A depends on symbol S from module B, and the dependency of A on B is recorded, S should *not* be global.
