concerning the freebsd port "java/linux-sun-jdk15".

hi,

i installed this port. when running
/usr/local/linux-sun-jdk1.5.0/bin/java
i get: Bad system call (core dumped)

linux emulation is on (kldstat reports linux.ko) and
there's a proc filesystem mounted. i'm running 5.3-stable #1.

i first thought linux_base was causing trouble, so i reinstalled that. didn't
help. then i
deinstalled linux_base and installed linux_base-8 (including
updating dependencies from base to base-8), didn't
help either. what could be the problem?

here's a strange thing i noticed: when linprocfs on /usr/compat/linux/proc
(linprocfs, local)
is mounted, calling java produces:
Bad system call (core dumped)

whereas when /compat/linux/proc is unmounted, java says:
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: Can't detect initial
thread stack location - find_vma failed
Bad system call (core dumped)

what could be wrong? thank you for your help.
