Hi list,

I'm currently setting up a Dell PowerEdge 1855 server using Intel's EM64T. I
am therefore installing the FreeBSD 6.0 amd64 port. What should I set CPUTY=
PE
to in /etc/make.conf? If I try with pentium4 I get an error during 'make
buildworld' telling me that the cpu selected does not support 64 bit
instructions, which I guess is correct. But what should I set it to then? D=
oes
it actually make any big difference anyway?=20

The server has 2 x Intel Xeon 3.2 GHz CPU with EM64T. I have attached the
dmesg output, if that's of any interest

with regards,

A system admin's life is a sorry one. The only advantage he has
over Emergency Room doctors is that malpractice suits are rare.
On the other hand, ER doctors never have to deal with patients
installing new versions of their own innards! (Michael O'Brien)
