On amd64 current I have installed the patch from Sam, http://people.freebsd.org/~sam/ath_hal-20080528.tgz, that seems to fix the hal problem but it still doesn't have carrier and a scan only gets "ifconfig: unable to get scan results" I've even checked the handbook and it says basically what I've done. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
