Hello, I fail in installing FreeBSD-7.0-RELEASE from the bootonly cdrom at an AMD 3000 Sempron (not a 64-bit processor): Page fault (trap 12). So I would like to produce a proper crashdump. How do I do this? On an already installed system I would set into /etc/rc.conf, whith ad0s4b being a swap partition: boot_verbose="YES" verbose_loading="YES" dumpdev="/dev/ad0s4b" dumpdir="/var/crash" But what if I install a fresh distribution from CD? I could remaster the bootonly cdrom. But which files do I have to change, then, to get a crashdump? Or would some kernel parameters be sufficient? BTW: The snapshot 200806-bootonly-cdrom also caused a page fault to me. Bye, bye Juergen
