I'm test on FreeBSD7-stable and FreeBSD-current and post results. Flash drive, FS, computer the same. Windows only for example.

PS
dd makes the same result - problem not in the file system
dd if=/dev/da0 of=/dev/null bs=65536
7281+0 records in
