While reading an Lucid man page, I was pleasantly reminded of this wonderful OS. "HISTORY The xl device driver first appeared in FreeBSD 3.0." The first version I got from Walnut Creek. Certainly still have the CDs. The manual still has references to loader.conf which link nowhere much. Could it be that FreeBSD is coming to me? I have strayed, you see. My kernel must be modprobed and I've no idea who built it. Other than it wasn't me. Can have more FreeBSD in Mint please? Thanks for everything so far, of course. Any pointers to what else may be porting this way, or to anything I'd be surprised to find I'm already using, would be appreciated. Found tcsh and aee in Synaptic at least :) -- Ta for reading, John.
