This - or an entry to ~/.xsession (depends). As far as
I remember, adding an entry

	xscreensaver &

should be fine. There are more than one binary installed,
so check out what they do:

	xscreensaver xscreensaver-getimage-video
	xscreensaver-command xscreensaver-gl-helper
	xscreensaver-demo xscreensaver-hacks
	xscreensaver-getimage xscreensaver-text
	xscreensaver-getimage-file

Note there's also

	% man xscreensaver

with some helpful information - launching and configuration
in detail.
