That's a workaround for a technical problem that I did not understand. When trying to do the automated download via the MASTERSITE, you will get: [cjr@dijkstra:java/glassfish]$ sudo make ===> glassfish-3.1.2.2 depends on file: /usr/local/sbin/pkg - found => glassfish-3.1.2.2.zip doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/. => Attempting to fetch http://download.java.net/glassfish/3.1.2.2/release/glassfish-3.1.2.2.zip fetch: http://download.java.net/glassfish/3.1.2.2/release/glassfish-3.1.2.2.zip: Moved Temporarily Fetching manually using the specified URL works, though. [cjr@dijkstra:java/glassfish]$ fetch http://download.java.net/glassfish/3.1.2.2/release/glassfish-3.1.2.2.zip glassfish-3.1.2.2.zip 2% of 83 MB 641 kBps So, this is the reason for the manual download. I am absolutely open to any other ideas to strip the port from this cludge.
