This gives me an idea. The only so to say 'vm' change in r248508 was an addition of the bio_transient_map submap. The vfs.unmapped_buf_allowed tunable did not eliminated the submap creation. Please try r248569 with vfs.unmapped_buf_allowed set to 0. If this combination allows the nvidia driver to start, please revert the setting of vfs.unmapped_buf_allowed, and instead set kern.bio_transient_maxcnt e.g. to 256 or even 128. Also, on the machine without the tunables customization, please show the output of sysctl kern.nbuf, kern.bio_transient_maxcnt. Also show the output of pciconf -lvb. =46rom what I see in your report, you use i386 arch. What is the amount of memory installed in the machine ? --9LnT2hzikWZ9nuHF Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.19 (FreeBSD) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJRSr8ZAAoJEJDCuSvBvK1BBAYP/0dSVkmp1eplRKRqgYTkOtjQ C/b5ZoWRavqkHR9kE0wJdBb89Ofu9RD86/Ae/x9XkGozdrBFlB+iBjHI8zwBO5Lj e181DBZm3ti/YDmJ1ZjMhTW2DakHh7IlHVnlvY/4qFEA99ogdITz8eEnRG62RpEv mUTh0+0+i5ky5DaY/dmE5WT+aMdrap4Y2ru1gkDaPz49x5VG2GuhjYNOJP2SX5py 1Q129jg3fUMRzWNJ5Y3o2EFJZEG2+BomcImWeB/NJsB6o+4B4/LaxdWgKD+IiBYY g0fSLfVsmcCYXTQNhK10Xyw6CJLIALX6t1d0X1U0hE7RzbLafvpqdod7mkvEr9a2 U1I5HOnhRapfN7Qy9nZvCjPPyCyEZKP2w2Q4TVfPk6mPygyyMRoIwBjUFb3SINbr /hDWNjHymSAHbociBNi4XtIpgyMiJfgTxES3By1k+kIVyNLg+OwEBzKejec0f/O8 WlXF/pDpNm5JZjtbXZYm2CqylGqMODjGpYS0qeLvCk5dgIxuIJOZ82+gGB14bVyv UNZOwKSskRZE9phfCl6iVwQMK0Lf5Xi1DmRAv/8YMmQ20azFoVG13V5lyn9b2COT MTLvmslw5job94ElbGROKN236O8jnCL9E4zP81CV7/7MtzAEfkwLAPtp/39XI0JP ZRyOB7bBVFmEwiZ1ydG1 =kuA/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --9LnT2hzikWZ9nuHF--
