Since RFC 3629 (November 2003), UTF-8 has been restricted to code points up to 0x10FFFF (inclusive). The higher sequences should be removed from the tests (or, even better, be expected to cause [EILSEQ]). I can provide a patch, but thought I'd explain the problem first. -- Jilles Tjoelker
