Hello I've the same issue on a POWER7 based IBM machine, Im not really well versed with IBM POWER platforms. My guess was that the thing cant find the CD device or the path is wrong... If someone knows more, Im willing to try other things.. Gentoo Linux Livecd was booting up fine...
