Well...the math isnt QUITE that easy, as you'd need a special MB
with more than 4 PCI slots to do this....but I dont think that the original
poster is talking about high density routers.....for the low end its
pretty difficult to justify the freebsd box vs the cheapy
router...particularly
on a 56kbs PTP line. But an ISP that puts up a bunch of compatible
systems routers for his serial line customers not only doesnt know
what hes doing, but he's ripping off his customers.
