[-- Attachment #1 --] Hi all... I am a New bee, in the unix world. Just putting up the white flag.. I originally installed 2.2.2 via cd's that were included in a book by Greg Lehey, "The Complete FreeBSD", Walnut Creek CDROM Books. All went well and now problems.. Right now I have installed FreeBSD 3.2.2. /bin via DOS after downloading to NT40/DOS subdir's on another PC. Would have done via Network\FTP install but I would have had to rewire my modem (com3\irq5). This part of install was fantastic.... I have FreeBSD running and now want to install products..etc I initially installed from boot diskette and the following subdir: Directory of C:\ 06/28/98 10:13a <DIR> bin . . . Now I want to install the code from the following subDir's): Directory of C:\FREEBSD 06/28/98 11:42p <DIR> catepages 06/28/98 11:43p <DIR> dict 06/28/98 11:58a <DIR> doc 06/28/98 09:33p <DIR> intro 06/28/98 11:41p <DIR> manpages 06/28/98 09:57p <DIR> packages 06/28/98 11:42p <DIR> ports 06/29/98 12:28a <DIR> proclibs 06/28/98 11:13a <DIR> tools 06/29/98 01:13a <DIR> xfree86 PROBLEM: Using "/stand/sysinstall" when I try to install via Dos i get a message that it can't find the Directory to install the product. I have moved and tried: 06/28/98 11:42p <DIR> catepages to Directory of C:\catepages But FreeBSD's "systemically" can not find the subdirectory.... any Ideas..... Thank's ....
