Hi! Anybody has been successful in using this device to do something else than playing audio? xcmd works (From the patch on ftp://ftp.freebsd.org), tosha CANNOT read CD-ROM but any track from a gold disk is seen has audio and can be read (ie: tosha -i 1), and cdrecord cannot even give me a useful result from a scsi probe (cdrecord -scanbus). I will walk through everything and try to debug it the best I can... OKCT: (Obligatory Kernel CAM Texts...) cd0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 3 lun 0 cd0: <YAMAHA CRW4260 1.0g> Removable CD-ROM SCSI2 device cd0: 3.300MB/s transfers cd0: cd present [324701 x 2048 byte records] BTW, CAM and 3.0-current has been stable since I re-work the wiring inside the cabinet... I've been using it for parallel work (got about 15 xterms doing mp3 plays, compiling, databases (mSQL, MySQL and Postgres (which I like very much...), coding, cvs and others without any single CAM glitch...) In fact except for the Kernel boot 0x17d that was caused by EMI and cable on the UW, it has been a charm... (Me too's...) I will like to thanks Kenneth and Justin! Have fun... (Now if I can get this CD-R to write... I got 600MB of mp3 to move out...) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-scsi" in the body of the message
