hi

I am getting max swap utilisation on two of my freebsd machines. both
are 486s
here are the details (both kernels are standard - generic with excess
removed )

freebsd 2.2.6 32mb ram dx4
running x (fvwm2) and several netscape communicator 4.04 browsers
my 50 mb swap slowly fills up
after a couple days - a reboot removes the symptom shutting down
netscape frees up
all but a couple of megs. Things are much worse if i run a couple of
mirrors. swap
get full quicker

freebsd 2.2.7 16mb ram dx4
just loaded freebsd and am mirroring the ports dir from a local (same
segment) mirror.
the 40mb swap is at max - nothing else is running no x no sendmail just
network

any ideas ? (like more swap? )
what other info do u need to answer these questions ?
