Ive searched the mailing lists for a solution to my problem, and it
seems that others have had the same, but anyways I keep getting the
error:

updatedb: locate database /var/tmp/locateh16323/_updatedb16321 is empty

from my weekly script. It seem that /var/db/locate.database got
clobbered.

Now for some data about my system:

FreeBSD slug.ceca.utc.edu 3.0CAM-19980806-SNAP FreeBSD
3.0CAM-19980806-SNAP #7: Thu Oct 8 15:00:32 EDT 1998

procfs 4 4 0 100% /proc

as you can see my file systems are no where near full...Ive manually
tried to run

/usr/libexec/locate.mklocatedb

but I cant seem to get the parameters correct (i.e. whats the correct
command line entry?)
Ive deleted locate.database, ive done touch /var/db/locate.database...so
for no go with anything
Ive tried. if you
Any help would be greatly appreciated

either will work:
