I just install FreeBSD 3.2 and I'm having trouble getting ppp to work properly. This is my ppp.conf file: default: set log Phase Chat LCP IPCP CCP tun command set device /dev/cuaa0 set speed 115200 set dial "ABORT BUSY ABORT NO\\sCARRIER TIMEOUT 5 \"\" AT \ OK-AT-OK ATE1Q0 OK \\dATDT\\T TIMEOUT 40 CONNECT" netcom: set phone 9,4615800 set login set authname us,ppp,##### set authkey ###### set timeout 120 set ifaddr 192.147.72.204/0 10.0.0.2/0 255.255.255.0 0.0.0.0 add default HISADDR enable dns I'm using a US-Robitics external modem (56K) an COM1 and my ISP is NetCom. The IP of the machine is 192.147.72.204. This is my problem: I login as root and run ppp netcom and then I type dial. However, I never log on, the ppp never changes to PPP and it disconnects before it gets there. Does anyone know what I'm doing?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
