I've problems installing FreeBSD 3.2 on a computer using only IDE
drives. I've one harddisk and one cdrom.
The HD is the primary device on first IDE controller, the ATAPI-CD is
the primary device on secondary IDE controller. During bootup, the HD is
dedected but the CD isn't. The second IDE controller is probed for a
longer time but no device is dedected. Therefore the installation
process fails.
Could someone please give me some hints to fix this problem.
Thanx,
Markus
