Greetings, is there a better method than syscons to have a nicer looking console mode? I am used to be spoiled with linux and the user of a frame buffer device at 1024x768 at 24bit color depth, and would like to get something close to it in FreeBSD.. I have tried using vidcontrol -mode VESA_800x600, but it wouldn't work on my machine - using a GeForce DDR as the video card. I am not talking about in X, so there is no confusion.. I have been using slackware for a long time, and I am very interested in learning FreeBSD now. Thanks for any help.
