The FreeBSD Security How-to (http://people.freebsd.org/~jkb/howto.html) linked off of freebsd.org/security/ is a bit out of date (it seems to apply to 3.x systems). Is anyone working on producing an updated version? If not, I may take on a project similar to the existing HOW-TO. I was thinking about producing documents on how to secure -RELEASE systems on the -STABLE branch (starting w/ 4.3-RELEASE). By dealing with the release systems, I could present specific steps and procedures instead of having to offer blanket advice. I'll probably start some of the ground-level research for this when I get my 4.3 CDs and then get back to you guys with a basic document for feedback later. Anyone know of an on-going effort that I should join instead of starting this on my own?
