I have followed this line, but I ended up with a small microprocessor project to be built into the UPS in order to take care of all possible races etc.. I concluded it was better to go out and buy a new smarter UPS than do this. To turn my ATX back on again I have tried to use the "wake on ring" feature, but it does not seem to be as reliable as I want. Another possibility I see is to pulse the power on connector on the main board. Do you see any other possibilities?
