In this light, I would suggest "Kb" and "Mb" for kilobyte and megabyte in your notation. I doubt whether I will convince you in the near future that KiB, MiB, and so on are correct, but I think it would be useful to agree on a common style (such as the one you suggested, Giorgos) for FreeBSD documentation and to use it consistently.
