I disagree with this notation, however:
- it is not my decision
- provided this is used consistently, it will be better than what is
   used in the documentation currently

Despite there being some disagreement with what the prefixes (K, M, ...) 
are, (byte = "B") and (bit = "b") are the most used notations.  In this 
light, I would suggest "Kb" and "Mb" for kilobyte and megabyte in your 
notation.

I doubt whether I will convince you in the near future that KiB, MiB, 
and so on are correct, but I think it would be useful to agree on a 
common style (such as the one you suggested, Giorgos) for FreeBSD 
documentation and to use it consistently.
