I'm trying to watch DVDs with xine, but i get lots of frameskipping, accompanied en masse by messages like these: video_out : throwing away image with pts 10578000 because it's too old (diff : 2092 > 1800). video_out : throwing away image with pts 10617600 because it's too old (diff : 8177 > 1800). video_out : throwing away image with pts 10621200 because it's too old (diff : 4577 > 1800). video_out : throwing away image with pts 10671600 because it's too old (diff : 10379 > 1800). video_out : throwing away image with pts 10675200 because it's too old (diff : 6779 > 1800). I first thought it might be an a/v-sync problem, but -A null produces the same behaviour. I tweaked the sysctl values as described in the documentation of xine, the machine is an AMD Athlon TB 1400 with lots of memory running -CURRENT (with WITNESS and INVARIANTS turned off) and XFree-4.2.0, which is seemingly quite idle while xine is running. This is really frustrating, because ogle and vlc are sooooo slow and xine just seems to stumble over it's own feet here. :) Any suggestions? -- Michael Nottebrock To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message
