I am working on reviving an old machine that has been my workhorse for years and just installed FreeBSD 4.6-Release onto it and am having two problems. The regular, non-x, screen is 640x480 in the middle of a 14" screen and I can't figure out how to get it to "stretch" like it normally would on a monitor to fill up the whole screen... Any mini- how-do-ya' do it guides for this? (Yes, I've checked the bios, etc. and there doesn't seem to be anything in there allowing me to change this...) The other problem is with Xfree86 4.2. I can get things installed and semi-configured, but whenever WindowMaker comes up, it is in 8 color mode. I am befuddled as to what I am doing wrong and perhaps staring at this for 6 hrs has drained my ability to think intelligently. I have included my XF86Config at the end of this message. I have also looked through all I can find as far as howto's for freebsd and linux, but nothing is helping me. Any help (besides RTFM at this point) would be greatly appreciated.
