It works on firewire and it works on a dual port RAID array (as a separate box containing the RAID array). It's supposed to work on SCSI III, but the vendors can quit their arguing and jockey'ing for advantage long enough to approve the range locking specification (which is why GFS uses a network daemon). SAN and NAS are also options, but of course, you still have to have an FS that can deal with it, and an external locking protocol. -- Terry
