I would like to use my local HP Deskjet 930c printer to print from XFCE4 and maybe KDE (KDE isn't installed yet). The version of FreeBSD I am using is a newly installed FreeBSD 5.3-Beta7. I have been working on configuring it, using various webpages on the net, but I thought I would ask - is there not some simple process to do this? Here are some of the docs I am following: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/printing-intro-setup.html http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2004/07/08/FreeBSD_Basics.html?page=1 I'm not really stuck yet, though it is sort of confusing when different docs do things differently. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't taking the hard path, while everyone else knew of some simpler path. Later I plan to use FVWM as my Window Manager, so I am hesitant to use some purely XFCE4, KDE, or GNOME solution. thanks!
