These documents could be moved to a port that has all the right dependencies for creating ASCII, PS, PDF etc packages. Sysinstall could be taught to install the ASCII package by default. In this way, you'd have the files removed from the src tree, which seems to be a goal of some people. But they'd still appear on every new box, would still exist on every old box, and wouldn't require any translation. Ciao, Sheldon.
