Hi, IBM notebooks habe a good reputation when it comes to FreeBSD. The problem with them is that they are not really low-end. You must check the keyboard - LCD problem with Acers. I have seen some Acers with ugly keyboard impressions on the LCD after only a few months of usage. Erich
